With 10 years of experience in the tourism industry, Edgar has always focused on bringing unique, exclusive services and in this way achieving success in the principal route led by Cusco Expeditions: Inca Trail Salkantay – Machu Picchu, with their own private campsites: Sky Camp in Soraypampa, Andean Huts in Chaullay, and Jungle Domes in Lucmabamba.

Cusqueño by birth, with 35 years of age, father of one girl, licensed in Administrative Sciences and Tourism. Cusco Expeditions was born in university classrooms in 2008 as part of various subjects studied in the Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Tourism – UNSAAC. After many research works and courses related to the tourism and business administration sector, the knowledge gained propelled me to explore and bring to manifestation my experiences, giving origin to this beautiful project called: CUSCO EXPEDITIONS. .

In 2013, Edgar Catunta founded Cusco Expeditions and, under his leadership, the company has grown to become the best travel agency of Adventure Tourism, receiving recognition as the Best Tour Operator of the Region of Cusco 2016.

That success came from a pioneer and innovation mentality: every one of its projects possesses a unique touch, having as its objective bringing new experiences, making known not only our cultural riches but also our beautiful landscapes without leaving behind the comfort and safety of our clients.

amazing, DO IT!

i did the salkantay trek in october 2014 and it was such a wonderful experience-- the tour guide was so knowledgeable and funny, the food was DELICIOUS, the hike was moderate with the most beautiful scenery and landscape. almost a year later and this experience still fills my heart with wonder and peace. so good, do it!

Wonderful trek!

It was honestly the most fantastic experience. My partner is quite fit, I would say I had a medium level of fitness, but 0 experience trekking or being at altitude and had felt a bit nervous before we went. But Freddy is a great guide and there were others in our group with a similar fitness level so it was nice to find someone your speed and trek together.
