This trek offers an outstanding combination of amazing mountain and valley scenery in a remote area, the visit will really get an in-site into the Authentic Quechua Communities and see thatched stone houses surrounded by herds of llamas and alpacas, and even guinea pigs running loose inside the houses. This hike starts in the Lares Valley and village of the same name, where you can enjoy a night dip in its relaxing hot springs, to then follow to the Andean communities of Huacahuasi, Patacancha and Willoq, reaching the village of Aguas Calientes on the third night, after a 2-hour train-ride from Ollantaytambo. This is not only an alternative Inca Trail, it is the most original and exclusive: following paths only recently discovered. The Inka Jungle trail can be done in either 4 or 3 days and is a mixture of both biking, Rafting, and hiking to Machu Picchu. Huchuy Qosqo Trek to Machu Picchu 3D/2N
This trek is like no other in the Cusco region. It is a perfect option for persons who were wanting a little bit shorter of a trek, with a lower altitude (the highest pass is 3,800 meters). While this trek is the shortest of the alternatives, it also has the most ruins to see along the way as well. One of the better parts about the way that we do the trek though is that we stay at the home of a typical host family on the side of the mountain, overlooking the Sacred Valley of the Incas below you. Also, out the window of the room where you will stay, you can see the sunrise over the beautiful Huchuy Qosqo ruins (home of the only 3 story Inca complex). The house does not have electricity, and there are guinea pigs running around, so you will have a very authentic experience. Also, the mother of the house will cook you a delicious dinner and then breakfast in the morning....More InformationAusangate Circuit Peru 6D/5N
